Content Aims: To create a recap video that visually explain the concept of 'an odyssey to Harmony' and to show a BTS look into the work that happens from the team behind the event. Project Overview:
"An Odyssey to Harmony" was the official theme for the Tatler Ball Asia 2025, which was held on October 3, 2025, at the Resorts World Sentosa in Singapore.
The event brought together over 300 of the region's most influential figures to celebrate excellence, unity, and the creative forces shaping Asia's future. The evening included the presentation of the prestigious Tatler Impact Awards to honorees such as Lee Jung-jae, Amanda Nguyen, and Ray and Mark Dalio. The ball coincided with the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix weekend.
Derry Ainsworth created videos for both events happening over the course of the two days. 'An ode to Self Mastery' and 'An odyssey to Harmony'. Derry covered both large scale events on his own, focussing on capturing the event's concept and atmosphere. By focussing on details, construction and behind the scenes shots, he was able to make edits that convey the story of these grand events from a different perspective.
In summary, the "Tatler Ball 2025" was one cohesive gala event with distinct formal (awards and dinner) and celebratory (afterparty) segments, both part of the "Odyssey to Harmony" experience.
The Tatler Ball Asia 2025, held in Singapore during the Formula 1 Grand Prix weekend, was a two-day affair that comprised two distinct, major events:
Day 1: "An Ode to Self-Mastery" Intimate Dinner (October 2, 2025)
The event commenced with an exclusive, invitation-only private dining experience at the newly renovated Singapore Oceanarium at Resorts World Sentosa.
Focus: This intimate dinner brought together approximately 160 emerging innovators and changemakers for an evening of inspiring conversations and reflection.
Key Speakers: The evening was anchored by two extraordinary individuals who delivered keynote addresses:
Wim Hof (the "Ice Man"), a Dutch extreme athlete known for his ability to withstand extremely low temperatures.
Lhakpa Sherpa, a record-breaking mountaineer who holds the world record for the most ascents of Mount Everest by a woman.
Purpose: The evening's program exemplified the core principle of self-mastery, sharing stories of resilience and human potential.
